Don't underestimate the power of light to help manage your jet lag. If you're traveling east, try to ensure you're getting light in the mornings before your trip to start accustoming your body to being awake earlier. When traveling west, do the opposite and get out in the sun later in the day if you can. It may sound strange, but make sure that light is hitting the backs of your knees, as this spot especially affects your circadian rhythms. If natural sunlight isn't possible, different specialized lights offer some of the same benefits.
