Sadly to say but Wednesday night the storage unit at ACTO was broken into. The door was kicked in sometime after 6:40 pm when we left. Our tools (extension cord, blower, w**d eater, 2 fans, one electric heater in the box) and numerous totes full of our seasonal decorations and craft supplies were taken. Our Christmas decorations were the black/ red Buffalo print and our Charlie Brown Christmas decorations. Our totes are different colors. Our Easter decorations with numerous ceramic pieces are missing too.
These things have been donated over the years and many bought brand new. Some even donated by loved ones who are now passed away. If anyone knows or heard anything please contact the police or ACTO (229)245-9094. These things are special to us. Please return them.

I am extremely proud to announce that ACTO (Alzheimer’s Caregiver Time Out) will be reopening on April 20th. Our hours will be 9:30am till 3:00pm Tuesday-Thursday. We had to close our doors in March 2020 as mandated by the CDC during the Covid-19 pandemic. It has been a long year and we have missed having clients and giving their caregivers a much needed time out. We will still serve breakfast and a hot well-balanced lunch. We are trying our best to keep everyone as safe as possible therefore we have made a few changes. Each client will enter the building through the side door only. Temperatures will be checked and antibacterial wipes and/or hand sanitizer will be used upon entering. We will be assisting clients with frequent and correct hand washing techniques. Each client will have their own craft supplies to avoid passing germs through contact. Our mission is to give each one tender love and care, provide social time and fun time while giving them a home away from home. We are here to help those with any type of dementia while giving the caregivers or love givers time to recoup their mental and physical strength. We are excited to see what 2021 holds for ACTO.
