Anyone love maps as much as me? IDK why but I love looking at them!

To add to my last post comparing Cancun and Riviera Maya… here’s a map to show the close proximity of them to one another. Both fly into Cancun airport!

Cancun Hotel Zone is that little circled strip!

Riviera consists of the 4 areas south of Cancun (Playa Del Carmen, Puerto Muerlos, Puerto Adventuras, Tulum)
The further south, the more jungle you’ll experience!

Yesterday I quoted out Alaskan cruises for a couple and was very shocked at the deals! A couple can go on a 7 day cruise for under $2000! I’m considering booking one for my family. How amazing does this look??

Considering Mexico and can’t decide between Cancun or Riviera Maya? This is a great article!!
To sum it up…

Cancun Hotel Zone= A 13 mile strip/active/party/city/nightlife/long and wide stretch of white sand beaches/ more active water (waves)/less seaweed/ high rise style resorts that are close together/close proximity to shopping and nightclubs/ take a ferry to Isla Mujeres/close to airport

Riviera Maya= sprawling villa style resorts/laid back/ experience more culture in surrounding towns (Playa/Tulum)/more lush/jungle/ see monkeys in some areas!/ visit Mayan Ruins/cenotes/ great snorkeling/ smaller and quieter beaches/ over hour from airport

Cancun vs Riviera Maya are often used interchangeably, but these are the differences you need to know as you plan your Mexico vacation.
