Unfortunately, we are not going to be able to reopen. Our liability insurance said they no longer provide insurance for Segway tours. The cheapest alternative was triple our previous rate despite us never filing a claim in our 6-1/2 years in business.

Thank you to everyone who supported us. I made many friends while giving tours and will miss all of you.

Sadly, still closed except for voucher and gift certificates. We are now looking at Spring as a reopening target.

A quick update: We are still closed to honor Gov Inslee's stay at home order. We are hoping to reopen June 1, but will wait and see what the Governor says and whether Fort Vancouver National Park reopens.

In the meantime, I have dad jokes for you:

If you are an American in living room, what are you in the bathroom?

Vancouver Segway Tours will of course comply with Governor Inslee's stay at home order and suspend tours until the Governor rescinds his order.

We had been practicing social distancing on the tours and preceding with well thought out safety measures, but as much as I feel Segwaying is essential to the quality of life, we will postpone that essential service until the health crisis is under control.

Stay healthy. Call your family/friends. And if you start going through Segway withdrawal, watching the movie, "Paul Blart, Mall Cop" may be a temporary stop gap.

Looking for volunteers on Saturday at 10am. A video production company is going to do a short spot on us for the Explore the NW with Dawn program. They would like to get video of people riding the Segways. Anyone interest?

Let me know if you would like to be filmed riding and then it potentially have it aired on local TV in the near future.
