We had a great visit at Bok Towers here in Lake Wales… we went to see a touring band fom NC.. Steep Canyon Rangers who we had seen at the International Bluegrass Festival in Raleigh. Turns out their new lead singer played at our cafe’& music lounge twice! Small world… interesting chat!

We see so much living in a field.. came home to 3 sandhill cranes today, had an airplane that was in the news practice its landing a few time right in front of us while the local RC airplane club was doing their thing… chilly morning!

Was at the Harn Museum of Art in Gainsville this morning while Howard worked in the RV… it was nice for my brain! Yesterday we were at another state park that I rode my bike, visited the gardens and painted by the lake… yes I am taking advantage of this time off while I have it this week!

Spent a couple of days visiting Nick and Michele and set up shop in the rv in his side yard… got some projects done on the rv too! I am trying to get i to routine with my work day as we travel a bit each day back down to Sarasota… then off the Lake Wales!

We have had very chill mornings here along the west side Of Florida as we travel toward the panhandle. Yesterday was Swannee 16 BW as our stop and I wanted to live there! Beautiful day on the river… Howard worked and I got things in order… today we are at Shell Island Fish Camp one of the last old ones of its kind… peaceful outdoor office for me today as I start working on a new prospect… Valentines day in a quiet relaxed location…❤️🌞

Slept at the concert venuse in the back lot and woke up to a jungle, had our breakfast, got propane, a haircut for Howard and stopped in Tarpon Springs at the sponge docks… a little Greek area north of St Pete… very windy day 40 mph! Landed in a beautiful Boondockers Welcome host on the Suwannee River.. whipped up food for our Superbowl “party.”

Great start to our adventure .. i got to see Roger Daltrey in my 9 th row center seat! Its was really cool to be so close and he was telling some stories and singing hard.. so hard he had to stop early… but it was a great experience .. thanks for my Valentines present Howard!

Our journey begins! Its a very windy day in Venice and we are first taking a trip to go see Nick Ruggz and Michelle Munn which is 500 Miles and 8 hours away… wr will stop eah day this week to work and see some local sites as we go!

Just got back from a two week trip down to Florida to get Tyler and his roommate Lucas set up and ready for their final year at FullSail University in WinterPark. We then headed to the gulf and visited a friend from Hasbrougk Heights, and checked out the areas of Sarasota, Siesta Key and Venice before the hurricane Eta chased us away!

We headed back to Orlando, said goodby to the boys and headed north. We stayed on several Golf CourseProperties and a bar with Harvest Host and even did a CrackerBarrel for a night along with two State Parks and a Fish Camp on the Barrier Islands near Titusville.

We had a lot of rain... spent the last day at South of the Boarder working because it was pouring! Made it home by 6 pm... no I don’t miss my house.. I like being n the road.

So we got a new ride that will be a lot easier that hitching up and towing, plus it doesn’t need to be worked on... well just a few touch ups...planning to set up so we can work as we travel and I’m also working for Harvest Hosts recruiting new host locations and finding new members to join!

Had a lovely weekend in Charleston, so much history, and interesting architecture...we need to do some studying before we return in the fall so we can appreciate it more.

We had two interesting stops today, one was touring Fort Clinch which was on Amelia Island, where we stayed and the other was Driftwood Beach on Jeckyll Island.

The fort was a great place to explore and had a lot of interesting areas, that most forts we’ve been to, do not let you visit. It also had interesting information about the wars here in America..... and the rooms set up were impressive... and believe me , I’ve been to almost every museum village and colonial kitchen on the east coast.

Visiting Driftwood beach... very strange place to see. It’s like being on another planet....

Exploring Fort Clinch , staying on the Amelia River on Amelia Island... such beautiful moss covered trees... traveled through the North Keys of Florida... we will explore more in the cooler months....

Fun couple of days here in Florida, heading to Ga today...we saw turtles laying eggs, cought and relesed fish, visited friends, talked shop, saw the comet last night, had two AF helicopters fly right over us from Patrick AFB, saw brightly shining planets, and sat still....most vaca we are all over the place....

Nice stop in S Carolina on our way to pack up Tylers Apt in Florida... no school for a few months yet.... online in Sept... making the best of the situation...if this continues I want to take them to Niagra Falls!

Out on the road last weekend and its so nice to have a change ofscenery. We havent had a dull day at home yet! We are renovating, gardening, cutting trees, painting, selling stuff, and alot of walks ... but its nice to leave the 27587 a bit.

As the winter chugs along, sometimes looking like spring here in Raleigh, I dream of our next jaunt or adventure.. but first we get the rest of our life in order... working in the garden while it’s cool.

Day 24... and were home! 5800 miles! 13 states, and I loved it! Howard has his limits ...he doesn’t quite have the gypsy I have, in him. Howard did do 98% of the driving... not bad for a maiden voyage. Next trip will be in one place.. Merry Christmas!

Day 22... Personal chef preparing taco picnic in a Gilligan’s Island atmosphere... this park is beautiful... we even found oranges in the woods on the ground. It rained later on-so we played Yahtzee, decorated a gingerbread house, stared at our phones, watched a movie and had the sound of the rain on the Airstream.. sounds like being in a popcorn maker!

Day 21... left Orlando to spend some time near Ormond Beach at the state park...it’s suppose to be rainy day tomorrow so we have some things planned even thought it won’t be a nice day...we had a raccoon visit us at the fire pit and I hear him outside right now!

Day 20... apparently I counted wrong last post...I barely know what day it is. Almost to Tyler’s in Winter Park...we went into an underground cave in Florida today and they’re all over Florida... I’ve been in a-lot of caverns and this one was a WPA PROJECT...it was tight is places...this is a long drive across and down the state but were looking up information from when did Elvis move into Graceland to can you get lepracy from Armadillos....
