🚨 MANATEE RIVER ADVISORY 🚨 REVISION - The City of Bradenton Water Reclamation Facility's NEW report estimates 3.5 million gallons discharged into the Manatee River. That does not include all the individual manholes discharging at the street level.

The City of Bradenton is experiencing "extremely high flow into the plant" starting at 5 pm on 8/4/24, triggering an overflow with the filters and a bypass of 3.5 million gallons of raw, untreated sewage into the Manatee River. Another report states that the Wares Creek area (near 17th Ave W) has been affected as well.

🚫 Suncoast Waterkeeper is issuing a NO SWIM ADVISORY until further notice. Please stay out of the waters and stay tuned for updates as we continue to monitor this situation.
