Hey who can resist right? Hubba Hubba!! He can come visit me anytime for a boost in my spirit. 😉. Be still my heart! ♥️ lol
PLEASE keep reading 🙏. Anyway-beef cake aside-I am in need of y’all’s assistance. For 6 years,as many of you know, I have been raising money for . Forgive the repetitiveness but I have a bunch of new followers-WELCOME! This is a 501(c)(3) organization (so all donations are tax deductible) that provides these VERY special animals to children and adults in need of their assistance. I know the holidays are approaching, but take a moment and help someone in need. Even if it’s $5. It helps them keep going, and you get not only the awesome feeling of helping someone ( and the tax break). My family and I always try to pick a charity during the holidays to help-this is a GREAT one. So many need the help.
Couple ways to donate: you can go online to www.littleAngelsServiceDogs.org/donate and use solicitation code AM-DE-PA (very important step there).
Or you can mail a check in to Little Angels Service Dogs 🐕‍🦺 at PO Box 219 Jamul, CA 91935. (Quick note to my Texas buddies-LASD main operation is in CA BUT they are growing! There’s now facilities in Texas and New Hampshire-YEAH!).
PLEASE pass this on, share with coworkers and bosses (businesses are always looking for tax breaks toward the end of the year). I am always happy to answer questions-and if I don’t know, I’ll get it for ya.
I also have attached the donation paperwork in the comments for your review. Blessings

This is why I do what I do. PLEASE take a moment and help. $7 a month is less than you pay for a couple of fru fru coffees. And Little Angels is a 501(c)(3) organization-so all donations are tax deductible. Please 🙏 use solicitation code AM-DE-PA. It’s a great way to “pass it on.” Please share. The more people we get to help-the more “angels” we will be able to get to children and adults who desperately need their assistance to live their best lives.

For all the Disney fans out there! Some AWESOME deals coming, so make sure to stay tuned. 😉

For the first seven years of Disneyland, the Jungle Cruise was Adventureland's only attraction. Walt had originally wanted live animals to inhabit the banks along the Jungle Rivers of the World (the attraction's original name) but, when he realized that guests would not get a "consistent, good show" with live animals, he and his team realized that mechanical animals was the only way to go. 🐘🦛

Walt would often walk around the park, casually dressed so he would blend in. In the late 1950's and into the early 60's, not everyone knew what Walt looked like. Remember, television was still fairly new then. Walt would walk around Disneyland, checking in on operations and attractions. One day, he rode the Jungle Cruise and, once his ride was over, he angrily stormed off. When he found the manager of Adventureland at the time, Dick Nunis, he asked him how long the Jungle Cruise ride was supposed to be. "Seven minutes", Dick answered. "Well, I just got off a four and a half minute trip", Walt said. "How would you like to go see a movie and they take out a couple of reels in the middle? Do you know how much those animals cost?! I couldn't tell a hippo from an elephant!" 😬

As it turns out, the Jungle Cruise Skipper that Walt got that day was on his last day of work at Disneyland and was in a rush to finish his paperwork and get home.

Walt had every Jungle Cruise Skipper retrained with a stopwatch to get the ride to EXACTLY seven minutes. Then, instead of riding right after training to make sure they all had it down, Walt waited. He waited for THREE WEEKS, and then he took his stopwatch on a random day and started riding Jungle Cruise boats. He rode one, was happy with the ride time and Skipper's spiel, then moved on to the next boat, and then the next one, riding several boats and experiencing several shows that day to make sure the guest experience was perfect. ❤️🏰

And this part doesn't really fit with the rest of the story, but I love it and I want you, if you've read this far and have hung on this far, to know it too! The back of Walt's apartment over the Disneyland Firehouse faced the Jungle Cruise, and Walt would often go outside into the jungle to smoke his ci******es. Also, Walt's grandchildren have said that they can remember sleeping over in the apartment and hearing the jungle noises all night long! ❤️ Not great for getting sleep but what a memory!!

Thank you so much for reading another Walt story today! 🙏❤️ This one can be found in lots of places but the quote is directly from the late Jim Korkis’ book, the Vault of Walt: Volume 2. Please check out Jim's stuff on Amazon as his books are the absolute greatest!! Have a fantastic day!! 🙏❤️

***Edited To Add: While I have you, my first book, Walt & His Park: The Stories You (Probably) Haven't Heard, will be available everywhere on April 8, 2024! ❤

Amen!! 🙏
