One of our loved dinosaurs 🦕 went missing Wednesday night. Our Kids Canal Dinosaur “KC” has been taken. The police have been called. Uintah County, in partnership with surrounding communities, is preparing a county-wide comprehensive transportation safety action plan. The plan will analyze transportation safety needs, identify high-risk locations and factors contributing to crashes, and prioritize strategies to address them.

Please join us in welcoming Willis LeFevre as our new County Commissioner! We’re excited to see the positive impact he will bring to our community. Here’s to a bright future of collaboration, growth, and progress!

Uintah County welcomes Commissioner Willis LeFevre and invites Uintah County residents to get to know him better.

A native to Garfield County, Commissioner LeFevre comes from a family of sheep and cattle ranchers. When he was a teenager, the LeFevre family moved to Box Elder County, where Mr. LeFevre graduated from Bear River High School and attended classes at Utah State University. While on an LDS mission in Alabama, the rest of the LeFevre’s relocated to Uintah County. After completing his mission, Mr. LeFevre joined his family in Uintah County where he met his future wife, Denece and began a 35-year career with Haliburton, followed by going into private business, raising angus cattle and selling livestock equipment.

Although the LeFevre family had opportunities to move throughout
the U.S. and the world, they knew they wanted to raise their family
in Uintah County because there’s, “No better place to live”.

With his mother and wife as major influences in his life, as a
Commissioner, Mr. LeFevre will understand the importance of
finding common ground - this requires hearing, not just listening. He will be focused on the proper role of government, ensuring equal and individual rights, protecting personal property, and remembering as God gives grace, we must all follow that
example.
