The Catherine Palace is located south of Saint Petersburg and was the summer home of Russian Tsars. One of the most famous rooms is the "Amber Room" which was dismantled during world war II. They reconstructed it between 1979 and 2003. The room itself is fully decorated in Amber and Gold and it is a part of a tour we are choosing to take during our upcoming Baltic cruise.
