Exactly 1 year ago today life in Jackson Hole came to a halt. I have made one board since that time. Having moved out of the Maiden Ski Crafting space shortly after the shutdown, we have been grinding our fingers to the bone, building a new factory from what was a vacant field last June..
Today, it all came together. We finally made our first board in the new space. A test board, to shake out the cobwebs, test the mechanical,, electrical and pneumatic systems (built by the master )as well as run through all the steps it takes to build a board. Sure there are some cosmetic issues that can be cleaned up but the press, electrical and everything in between worked as designed. What a f@ relief.
None of this could have happened without the help of so many people. From partners and investors, to friends and family, and contractors and volunteers. It took an army. Special thanks goes out to for whom I owe so much gratitude. Both for his energy and his passion not to mention his patience and his faith in me. And if it were not for my wife, none of this would have occurred. She pushed me, trusted me and believes in me. That is what drives me.
A big thanks to Brent, Magilla, Ryan, Chris, John, Matty D, Mark Rector and Fox. Thank you for holding down the fort while we built the dream.
To Ryan and the crew at , Ryan and his crew at Mathews Plumbing, Ben and his crew at Steel Vision, , Craig Olson, , , Eric Spitzer and many more.
A big thanks goes to Kelvin Wu of Maiden Skis for your inspiration, knowledge and encouragement to take it to the next level.
An even bigger thank you to , and for taking me under your wings and teaching me. This was one of the most important events in my life, leading to this very board, in my own space. 🙏🙏
Lastly, thank you to my partners and investors. Your belief in me and what we do is a true blessing and I am eternally grateful. We are about to take it to 11....
And finally, thank you Rich Aveni. You made the build out possible.
Time to get to work.
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
