Space Heater Safety Tips!

When it comes to a space heater, a power strip should never be considered as an option to power it. Whether you have an almost full power strip or a completely empty one, it doesn’t matter — plugging your space heater into a power strip opens you, your home and everything in it up to a slew of dangers. This is because a power strip doesn’t have a high enough current flow to support the electrical needs of a space heater, causing it to overheat and possibly lead to a fire. Instead, you should always plug your space heater into an electrical outlet in the wall.

BICENTENNIAL OLD VICTORIA TROLLEY TOURS 🚎
Without a doubt, one of the most popular ways to explore Victoria is our Old Victoria Driving Tour, featuring over 80 homes and properties with several listed on the National Register of Historic Places!

However, until now it's always been a self-guided activity. Besides the annual Historic Homes Tour, presented by Victoria Preservation, Inc., there wasn't a way to hear all the cool stories and more insights into the unique architectural features.

To celebrate as Victoria Turns 200, we'll be offering just that! Once a month, the beautiful trolley from Texas Coast Trolley will take attendees along the oak-lined streets in and around Downtown Victoria to see our most venerable structures.

The tour will begin with a guided tour inside the 1892 Victoria County Courthouse, then to the trolley for a guided driving tour of Old Victoria, and finishing with a prix fixe lunch at the historic The PumpHouse Riverside Restaurant and Bar!
