Victoria ISD is launching a new Attendance Improvement Initiative at Victoria East and West High Schools to tackle chronic absenteeism and boost student attendance. With a current absenteeism rate of 25%, this program is key to improving attendance and academic success.

𝙒𝙝𝙖𝙩’𝙨 π™‰π™šπ™¬:
β–ͺ️ Incentives: Movie passes, prize drawings, and more!
β–ͺ️ Participation: Attendance required for prom and other activities.
β–ͺ️ Community Campaign: Raising awareness about attendance importance.
β–ͺ️ Dashboard: Daily attendance updates on our website.
β–ͺ️ Updated Policies: New rules for attendance-based exemptions.

Victoria East and West will each pilot different approaches, focusing on maintaining a 90% attendance rate to earn and keep privileges. Specific plans and appeal processes will vary by school.

PAINTING, CHEERLEADERS, and GUEST SPEAKERS. What more could you ask for? Come support Viper Athletics and Clubs. STEM Middle is hosting a Viper Spirit Night August 27th 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm. All STEM Vipers are welcome to attend with their families. Guest speakers will provide exposure to different athletic STEM job opportunities. Can't wait to see all the students there!

Alternative Bilingual Service will be hosted in the STEM Library August 27th 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM.
