Vida Yards at The Oregon Cliff House is coming back to life! Memorial Day weekend it will be filled with cheers and shouts as the Memorial Day Classic Wiffleball tournament resumes. You are welcome to stop by and check out the progress and fun on Saturday or Sunday if you like.
We have worked through numerous obstacles so far and done a lot to transform the ground since the 2020 Holiday Farm Fire but we still have a few hurdles left to clear before we can really get building on the actual house. We are hopeful to starting renting the field and grounds in the summer of 2024 as well as clearing our last hurdles.

After the fire, I cut the two dead trees by the dance floor 12 feet off the ground, leaving tall fire blackened stumps. We then fabricated these light shades out Crystallo Stone slabs. The idea was they would cast a soft moonlit sort of magic light that would shine down on dancing, singing and celebration over the years to come, especially while we wait for the trees to regrow.

Here is a sneak peek of the future Oregon Cliff House . The top picture is the front of the house and the bottom is from the river side. The lower decks are not drawn in on this drawing but have been approved as part of the plans and will get built back as they previously were.

We started work on the foundation this week. It will be a monolithic slab that will encapsulate the old foundation. Hopefully it will get poured towards the end of September. Our plan is to start framing March of next year.

All this rain has everything looking lush. New gate columns down to the river are starting to go in. The iron gate panels survived the fire 🙂

This was a big week. I have a permit in hand to rebuild the Oregon Cliff House! Including the deck 🙂 We also had the excavator there all week putting in a circular driveway, a new larger septic tank and drain field and knocking down the old chimneys in preparation to layout the new foundation.
