When a guest’s art greets you during your visit to the cottage! Thank you for this little treasure which brought a smile to my face when I was sprucing up the maker space last weekend. We always surprise and delight guests! Now that it’s spring, the wonderful flowers of are a favorite offering. Check out the farm during your visit, they have pick-your-own flowers and workshops.

The unsung hero of the house which never gets air play on here - this amazing mid century chrome light above the kitchen table. The design, the crackled glass, all of it is just incredible and adds so much to the design of the house. Soon after buying the cottage I visited @provenancecompanies in Philly and found these, just a few peeking out from a crate. I was so enamored of them that I immediately bought them, knowing they were the first piece in the design puzzle for the house. I didn’t know where they’d end up, but it didn’t matter, I knew they were meant to be. Our good friend @philacarta recently completed these incredible Cape May themed stickers and post cards, which you’ll find during your stay with us! You’ll see iconic Cape May landmarks on these, including the @capemaypoint_nj lighthouse, @washingtonstreetmall , @capemaymac Emlen Physick Estate, the SS Atlantis sunken ship, the Cape May Ferry @ferryvisiontv and of course the beautiful migrating Monarchs and birds and the horseshoe crab. One of my favorite shell finds at our beach, ever! This NJ State shell - the Knobbed whelk - is a marine gastropod (snail!) that lives in coastal waters and tidal estuaries along the Atlantic coast, from as far north as Cape Cod to south in Cape Canaveral in Florida. You can find them along the Jersey Shore, from Raritan Bay down to the Delaware Bay, which is of course our beach!
