‼️Reminder—this Saturday is our Wildflower Walk at Lewis Hill Preserve! We are so excited for a fun day in the sun, with some beautiful wildflowers to enjoy! ☀️
Lewis Hill is one of the few sites where the rare Striped Adobe Lily grows. As such, we keep the preserve closed to the public except for this ONE day a year, to protect this population of flowers! Join us this weekend for this fun event, and learn about the geology, botany, and history of the preserve—and fly some kites at the top of the hill! 🪁 The gates will open at 9 AM, but the tour is self guided, so show up anytime between 9 and noon! 🌿
Please be advised that the hike is quite strenuous! There are no paved or graded trails between the entrance gate and the top of the hill where the lilies are. Please judge your own ability before attending the event! Wear sturdy shoes and bring anything you may need for a hike. A refillable water bottle is highly recommended. We will have trail guides and staff on hand for support. 🥾
RSVPs and donations are not required, but appreciated! For more information, to register, and/or to donate, check out the event page (linked in bio!). We appreciate any and all donations, as they help us to run events like this at our preserves. 🤗 See you on Saturday!
