Aug. 17, 9:00am-11:00pm: Tipsy's Liquor Grand Opening
Grand Opening Alert! Tipsy's Liquor is celebrating its Official Grand Opening this Saturday, August 17, from 9 AM to 11 PM. Enjoy special sales, wine and liquor tastings, and free food options from Esmeralda's Food Truck, which will be onsite. Join us at Troyer Memorial Library, 1 E Kendall St, La Fontaine, IN, for Drawing for Beginners, a four-week session led by local artist Karen Welsh. Classes are on Monday evenings at 6 p.m. (August 19th, and 26th). The cost is $20 for the entire session, and supplies are provided. Aug. 24, 5:00am-8:00pm: End of Summer Block Party Downtown LaFontaine
Join us for the End of Summer Block Party on Saturday, August 24, 2024, from 5:00 - 8:00 PM in LaFontaine, IN! Enjoy an ice cream social hosted by LaFontaine United Methodist Church, a flower wall by Wonder Wall Flower Company, children's activities by Troyer Memorial Library, extra donuts from Charlie's Donuts, kettle corn by LaFontaine Lions Club, adult beverages at LaFontaine Bar and Grill, seating in the Fire Barn, delicious burgers from Imagine Burgers, lemonade from The Sweet Shack, and live music by Rock of Elders. Unfortunately, the Golf Cart Parade and Corn Hole Tournament have been canceled due to low interest and insurance costs, but we plan to bring them back in 2025. Special thanks to LaFontaine board members for their support. Please help spread the word!

The LaFontaine community is invited to attend two public input meetings to discuss the LaFontaine Park survey results and future projects. The meetings will be held at LaFontaine Town Hall, 13 W Branson St, LaFontaine, Indiana, on August 29, 2024, at 6:00 PM and September 19, 2024, at 7:00 PM. A representative from Commonwealth Engineers will be present to discuss the project. For more information, contact LaFontaine Town Hall at 765-981-4591, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
