PREHISTORIC EXPOLORATION! Cedar Ridge PDS Elementary 4th graders had a valuable learning experience at Dinosaur Valley State Park. Through hiking and educational activities, they gained insight into prehistoric times and had an enjoyable time. This trip provided a hands-on way to learn about dinosaurs.

EXPERIMENTING WITH SCIENCE! Lake Air Montessori PDS students in teacher Crystal Rodriguez's class are conducting experiments to study the effects of gravity, friction, and magnetism on different objects, fostering collaboration and critical thinking skills.

CALCULATING FRACTIONS! Brook Avenue Elementary 5th graders in Ms. Reyna's class engaged in modeling new methods for adding and subtracting fractions. This hands-on approach provided an opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the concept.

STOP, DROP, AND ROLL! Lake Air Montessori PDS primary students learned all about fire safety when they visited the Waco Fire Station. Students learned how to serve our communities and had a blast taking a tour of a real life fire truck!

FEELING GRATEFUL! Shardae LaRae from 25 News KXXV visited a group of first graders at Dean Highland Elementary School and read "Gratitude is my Superpower" by Alicia Ortego. During this season of feeling thankful, we are thankful for Ms. LaRae and her dedication to not only reading to our students, but also being a champion for literacy!

CAREFUL COLLABORATION! Crestview Elementary School students in Ms. Scott's class demonstrated collaboration and critical thinking skills by working together to solve math word problems. Students then communicated their problem-solving strategies to the class.
