Remember the peregrine falcon who made Spencer Hill his place of refuge a few years ago? We discovered him near the Naw-Tee Pine deck and he wasn’t flying very high. It took the Raptor rescue 2 weeks to capture him and nurture him back to health. We named him ‘Spence’. 😍. I’d like to think this falcon is Spence…back in the spotlight!! 😇

Christmas is truly magical at Spencer Hill. This year both cabins were occupied by the Sherlock family getting together from all around the country to celebrate their mother’s life. I loved reading what they had to say…

“Words can’t describe the wonderful time our family of 20 had at Spencer Hill cabins between Christmas and New Years. The two cabins worked out so perfectly, giving us enough room both to gather and get away from the crowd. The extra tables provided seated everyone for meals. The kitchen had absolutely everything we needed, including a 45-cup coffee percolator we used every day! Everyone commented on how beautiful the cabins were and the special feel of the decor, the views to the lake and the grounds. SO many memories were made that will be with us forever! We explored Wahoo, walked around the lake daily, cooked meals including sushi rolling, make gingerbread houses, played games, played music, watched football, played Sherlock jeopardy, caught up, and bonded until next year.”
