Today marks one month since the Maui wildfires and while our hearts ache as we reflect on the tremendous loss and devastation in Lahaina and Kula, they swell with pride when we think about the power of this community, the outpouring of love we’ve seen from around the world, and the magic of this beautiful island we call home. We are committed to supporting Maui’s recovery. Over the past month, we’ve found housing for our displaced colleagues and jobs for those who want to work. We’re donating a portion of each new reservation to the Peoples Fund of Maui. And thanks to the generosity of our ‘ohana, owners, guests, and friends, we’ve raised over $800K in donations that will go directly to colleagues who were impacted by the fires. This is just the beginning, and we’re in it for the long run. We hold Maui in our hearts and know that you do as well. Mahalo.
