We have STR rentals as well as offer consulting and management. Born in Michigan but as a Military baby I have traveled!

I have lived all over the Southeast beach region. I currently own, operate and manage maintenance on VRBO/Airbnb vacation rentals in this area that I love. I truly fell in love with travel when I toured 14 countries in twelve days at the age of 13! Since that trip, I met my husband in Norfolk in 1996. He was also able to travel and see the world in the Navy and shares my same passion. We moved to

Wilmington for a year and then to the Raleigh NC area in 1999. We raised our daughter in the Wake Forest/Raleigh area and had the pleasure of following her travelling soccer team. Along with regional travel in the USA, we had the wonderful experience of traveling to Sweden and Denmark for an International Tournament. In that same time period I started what came to be a very successful Salon and Spa. I have always enjoyed making people feel better and believe in providing an outstanding experience for Customers. We are now empty nesters and have been fortunate to enjoy travel with my husband’s work. Our trips include Germany, Italy, Amsterdam, Mexico, Chile, Texas, New York, San Francisco & New Orleans over the years. We continue to have great travel experiences and these trips have generated some of our fondest memories. I now look forward to making people feel happy in their travel experiences and most importantly, help them create the same type of memories.

World's Largest Christmas Tree
Wilmington, NC was once home to the world's largest living Christmas tree, which stood in the old Hilton Park, and was lit beginning in 1928. It was lit every year, except during World War II during the blackouts, until 2011.
The tree was a 75 foot tall live oak, not a traditional evergreen, that was trimmed with up to 7,000 lights, along with Spanish Moss for tinsel. As the tree aged, supports were added to hold up the lights, but due most likely to the stress of the weight, the tree began to shrink over time.
In 2011, they stopped the tradition due to the tree slowly dying. It was also in the way of the new water treatment plant, which needed upgraded security at the time. The tree was uprooted and removed in 2015. A portion of the tree was preserved and kept at the Cape Fear Museum.
A new tree was planted to begin the tradition anew, but it soon died, so the city has been putting up a new tree in downtown to be lit. It is made to withstand the weight of the lights and can be taken down to avoid the high winds of winter. This is just one of many great holiday traditions across the state.
