What do you do when your carefully crafted plans don’t go....as planned??
On our family’s trip to Central Europe this summer plans were derailed when a trip highlight was cancelled at the last minute (Taylor Swift in Vienna 😭😭)
How can we adapt and overcome when our plans go awry?
I always offer some perspective when my clients are getting ready to travel to try and prepare them for any surprises big or small:

🗓️ Build some flexibility into your itinerary. A tightly packed schedule is an invitation for things to go off book.

🙂So much out of our control but what you CAN control is your reaction! Taking it out on your travel partners and being rude to staff will not help your situation and could make it worse. I promise you, the airport staff are more tired and hungry than you probably are.

👟Be ready and willing to pivot. Don’t get caught up in what went wrong and open your mind to new opportunities. It could turn out to be your favorite part of the trip!

My most helpful tool? My clients have my phone number! They don’t have to try random 800 numbers and explain their situation repeatedly as they get passed around a call center located who knows where. They have me as their advocate as we navigate the unexpected together.

While working with my clients, we considered a few different options before settling on Barceló Maya Riviera, and it did not disappoint!
The special feature this resort had that my clients loved was the nearby reef. Being able to snorkel with turtles and fish whenever they wanted was a huge plus for them! 🤿
