Today, we are highlighting Bee Balm. These plants are beloved by hummingbirds because of their tubular shaped flowers. When the flowers turn to seed, they attract birds who forage for seeds. The foliage smell and fuzzy leaves often make them deer and rabbit resistant.

Do not forget to come out to the Meriwether County Chamber of Commerce THIS FRIDAY to participate in The Great Southeast Pollinator Census with us! We will be there from 10am-2pm counting pollinators and welcoming guests to the community pollinator garden. If you are able to join us, please register at the link below!

Good news! Lake Meriwether officially has our own website! Now, you have the ability to reserve your campsite online. Just go to www.lakemeriwether.com and click the “Schedule your Visit”link at the top of the page. Enter in your preferred dates and type of site (tent camping, camper/RV, or the pavilion) and you will see a map of the site location and whether it’s available for your stay.
