It's okay to grieve.
When you're experiencing grief, you MUST allow yourself time to process your loss. It's the best thing you can do for others and yourself. Grief therapist Linda Schupp writes, "Immediately after a substantial loss, approximately 85% to 95% of time and energy may be locked into the grieving process with only 5% to 15% available for the present."*
If we try to keep our regular schedule during times of grief, we'll only end up hurting our grief process, our tasks, and possibly others and ourselves. After a substantial loss, the healthiest thing you can do is embrace it and face it.
*Quote from Schupp's book, "Grief: Normal, Complicated, Traumatic."
You don't have to suffer in silence. The loss of a child feels like the end of the world, believe me, I've been there. There are groups and ways to help grieve and eventually heal.

It has been a privelege to be a business associate of Garefino Funeral Home for the past year. Working at this facility has been a wonderful experience. I have not come across another funeral home that treats their client families with such empathy and respect. It is a blessing to be part of the team at Garefino Funeral Home. And I am honored to be entrusted to help guide families through these difficult times and create personalized and meaningful tributes and celebrations of life. I am grateful to be of service to each family I can assist.
It is such a blessing to work at such an extraordinary establishment that provides genuine empathy and thoughtfulness to families in their time of need. It is a privilege to guide our client families through end of life experiences and create personalized tributes and celebrations of life. Thank you for entrusting us to care for your loved ones and create a meaningful service for you. It is our duty and our honor.
