I didn’t even have to post that I booked this trip before they traveled. ruined a planned vacay and when my clients thought all hope was lost they found me and now are looking at this view.

I quickly planned their escape to paradise at the adults-only Hotel Riu Palace on Paradise Island, Bahamas. They are enjoying an all-inclusive with beachfront views, gourmet dining, swim-up bars, and a world-class spa.

🚨This is LONG but so worth the read… especially if you’ve wanted to learn more about river cruising or Ama Waterways

🔹 This is from a client who traveled in June and has given me permission to share their review and some photos

➡️ Whooo!!

What a trip. Still in shock of it all. Thank you so much for all your help!

Here we go:

- Albus hotel is Amsterdam was a great hotel. The location was exactly where we wanted to be and the staff was really good in pointing us out on where to go and the location of everything. Very walkable city - just watch out for the bicyclists…they are aggressive and have the right of way at all times lol. but the hotel was nice and quiet, easy to sleep with the windows open!!

-checking in to AMASienna was a level of service i may have not experienced before. We walked from the hotel to the dock and as soon as they saw us coming from the street, 2 employees hustled up to us to grab our luggage. that was a great first impression. Reception was top notch and explained how boarding would go. Our room would be ready at 3pm, but we dropped our bags off and headed back out to the Van Gogh museum and then came back for the welcome cocktail and introductions as well as dinner. The introductions really set the tone for the trip, The captain gave great explanations on the locks they use to go down the Rhine, the hotel manager was great in making sure anything we needed they would accommodate, and the cruise manager -Andre, simply fantastic. He had a lot of energy and broke down kind of how every day would work. They spoke a lot about food, and man did they mean it. 3 solid meals a day and 2 snack times as well. All of the staff was very approachable, and they seemed to remember our names almost immediately. (we think they have a study room down below somewhere, where they are tested on who we are—but not proven lol) i mean really it was such a warm welcome, i really knew we chose the right cruise line.

-Every single day there is a meeting about what would happen the next day. Andre would give a little more detail than the guides and brochures and encouraged that if you wanted to change your adventure, by all means do so after the more detailed descriptions where given. He was also exemplary in a request i had made regarding a time frame when we cross a certain section of the Rhine where my grandfather would have crossed in WWII. I mentioned it on the first morning and he updated me every single morning i saw him. Just really really 5* service…..and memory lol.

The boat was clean, maybe overly clean….lol. our rooms where addressed when we where on our excursions and the at dinner time the turn down service came. We knew exactly who was in our room that day and when we saw him for the first time (3 days in) he greeted us by name!!!! we had never seen him before!!! he asked if everything had been good so far.. just unrealistic service was given by everyone. The attention to all of the details is what sets AMA apart (we did hear stories from other river cruises)

The food was amazing. Not a single bad meal on the boat. 3 meals a day, served perfectly. 5* chef type food. Really bright colors, layers of flavor and each meal was based on were we where regionally on the Rhine…again the details. Waitstaff new us by name almost immediately. They would change the utensils if we used the wrong ones lol… never saying a workin and working with such precision. Never brought out the next serving until your were done with the current serving. I could go on and on about the food, but ill keep it short lol

The tours where curated very well. The tour guides where great and seemed to really like Andre as well, they communicated very well and they all made sure we were safe as well as informed about what/where we were going.

Im not sure i have an all out favorite part of the tour, but i would say the Part of the Rhine Gorge where we are passing 30+ castles was amazing. I do understand that could be circumstantial to weather…but we had great weather so… Andre would call out what castle was approaching and give a very detailed history of that castle….not a quick review, but a detailed review of its history. we sat on the sun deck for about 6 hours, wait staff brought drinks, water, snacks etc… but again the details were taken care of.

I could go on and on about the service, it was truly amazing. Thank you for booking this river cruise.

🏖️ Sandals Negril Review 🏖️

Did you know Negril is famous for its stunning 7 mile beach? This review will be shorter than my previous one since I didn’t stay here and just did a short resort tour.

First impressions a more compact resort than South Coast. It has a smaller foot print and this resort really centers around the beautiful beach. I loved the swings in the lobby.

Speaking beaches, we got to see some rooms with amazing ocean views, and isn’t that why we travel to the Caribbean? Rooms I would skip here? Garden view. I am in it for views of the beach!

I got to experience the coffee shop, the only other one is in St. Vincent.

This resort seemed a little more lively than South Coast and little less steps! If the beach is your priority, I would recommend this resort!

It’s been almost a month since my visit to Sandals South Coast. I’m not sure where the rest of June went but time is flying!

This was my first time on any Sandals and Beaches property, though I’ve been selling them for 9 years. As a teacher I pride myself in researching and learning and pass all that knowledge to my clients, but being here first hand was amazing and I learned so much!

Here’s my review…

✈️ You land in Montego Bay, and it’s about 1.5 hour ride to the resort, so if long rides aren’t your thing. This isn’t your resort, they also want you back at the airport 3 hours prior to departure so even with a midday flight you might have an early morning and long travel day ahead 🚘

👋 They welcome you with a warm or cool towel that smells like a dream 💭 and then they welcome you to the resort. You don’t touch your bags 💼 they magically arrive at your room. I was staying Club level so I was whisked away to the Club Level lounge where I was welcomed with a drink for a personalized check in experience 👌 We were walked around the resort and then they escorted us to Giuseppe’s for a pizza lunch 🍕 once the room was ready I was personally escorted to my room and given a quick debrief on the room features.

Let’s talk food, I thought the food was delicious. I enjoyed most everything I ate. The only buffet was breakfast, everything else is a la carte so pick whatever you want. Two appetizers? You got it! I loved Sushi on the Sand 🍱 we ate there twice in 3 nights. The French menu was delicious. Plenty of options for adventurous eaters and plenty of safe options for those that are not. I loved the Chicken Dippers food truck for a quick easy beach side lunch 🏝️ with 9 restaurants and two food trucks there is a good variety here

Let’s talk entertainment, I was pretty busy on my days here but the main pool had water sports volleyball, basketball, music, and a bar at the end 🍹 we attended one show at night and there is a lot of talent here! Go enjoy the shows 💃 we tried out the over the water bar one night and the martini bar the next. I enjoyed the over the water bar best but if there was some great people watching at the martini bar

Resort layout and rooms this resort is not too big and not too small and I LOVED my room. They have 360 rooms so it’s not a mega resort and 3 pools. I enjoyed a quick dip in the pool outside my room which had a swim up bar 🥂 the whole resort is walkable in 15 minutes max. With all their room choices including the Rondoval village and over water bungalows they really have it all.

If you don’t mind a bit of a ride I would recommend this resort. With their variety of dining and room types I thought this resort was quiet but not too quiet. This isn’t a party party resort. Will I be back 💯
