I was invited to a ship tour and lunch onboard the Norwegian Jade this past Thursday. It’s a nice mid-sized ship that was refurbished in 2022. There is a variety of entertainment & activity options, restaurants with open “freestyle” seating, and a fun casual atmosphere.

Big news from Sandals/Beaches Resorts brand today: Sandals Resorts International (SRI) today announces its acceleration of plans to expand the family-friendly Beaches Resorts brand with the development of Beaches Exuma, its fourth resort, and the first Beaches in The Bahamas. “Exuma was made for families and with more than 6,000 feet of shoreline, the new Beaches Exuma will be a gateway to discovering the incomparable beauty of this part of The Bahamas,” stated Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of Sandals Resorts International. Exuma is also a natural wonder renowned for its marine ecosystems and sea life, crystal clear waters, and beaches offering expansive white sandbars for exploration. The new Beaches Exuma will include an evolved configuration of rooms with multi-bedroom villas, suites and connecting rooms, as well as undergo upgrades to its 12 restaurants and culinary offerings, the development of an all-new Kids Camp, splash deck, and much more, while tapping into entirely new adventure opportunities for families. A nice review of Treehouse Travel from clients who traveled to Italy for a fabulous honeymoon.... :-)

As first time travelers to Europe, we were a little nervous about how everything would go. Debbie scheduled everything and laid it out so easy to understand and follow. Last day in the Netherlands…. we did a full-day excursion outside of the city to Gouda for a walking tour of this quaint village and a class on making yummy Stroopwafels and then visiting the Kinderijk Windmills. Once back at the port in Amsterdam, a delicious dinner on the wonderful AMASerena ship followed by a rockin’ St Patrick’s Day party! ☘️

Last week I was lucky enough to spend 4 days cruising on Virgin Voyages’ Scarlet Lady. This was my first time experiencing their “epic change for all” different style of cruising and I had a blast. I really liked the “you do you” laidback vibe and I thought it had a great mix of fun and relaxation. And the 18+ adults-only factor was key to making it a nice escape from feeling like just a mom… don’t get me wrong because I love kids (well most of them 😉) but it was quite enjoyable to not have them snorkeling in the hot tub like they did on my last cruise! The food was delicious and all the guest spaces felt clean (no buffets!). It felt like everyone onboard (sailors and crew) didn’t take themselves too seriously and weren’t any strangers but rather friends we hadn’t met yet.
This cruise line isn’t for everyone… however, if my description seems like this might be right up your alley, I think you should go for it!
