Smith Tours has had a very busy week in the offices, which is a great feeling! Thank you to all who have sent in your trip registrations early. We were pleasantly surprised Monday morning with the responses we have received for travel with us in 2025.

We have already had to book a second bus for the 5-day mystery trip and have set up a second date for the Grand Ole Opry Birthday Party trip. The new opry trip will be July 12-15. It will be the exact same itinerary as the October 13-16 trip. So, if you wish to go with us to Nashville, it will have to be in July. The second bus for the 5-day mystery trip will be at the same time as the first bus from August 17-21. Melinda and Kerri will each take one bus. This is going to be a great trip.

So, with the number of trips we have recorded this week, we thought we better let you know where each trip stands at this time which might encourage you to get your registrations in if there is something you know you want to do with us this year.

Branson Christmas - plenty of seats at this time
Ark/Creation Museum - plenty of seats at this time
Dinner Theatre - Rumors - plenty of seats at this time - Registration due by Feb. 3rd
Dinner Theatre - Jersey Boys - 15 tickets available
Dinner Theatre - Clue - plenty of seats at this time
3-Day Mystery - 4 seats left
5-Day Mystery - we have a second bus so we can take about 30 more at this time
Opry Birthday Party - 14 spots available for July 12-15
Country Music Highway - plenty of seats at this time
South Dakota - plenty of seats at this time
Texas - plenty of seats at this time
Virginia Beach - plenty of seats at this time

After a trip fills up, we will begin a waiting list. Remember, when you sign up for a trip, you send your registration to Kerri Cowan, whose address is at the top of the form, along with your deposit. If you need to cancel before the final payment is due, your deposit is returned minus a $25 cancelation fee.

Some travelers have been emailing or texting us to let us know that they are putting their registrations in the mail. That way we can get you on the list and we don't have to wait several days before the mail arrives to get you booked. Feel free to do this if you wish.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

The last day at Niagara Falls was awesome! We started our day at Welland Canal and was able to watch a Canadian vessel come into the lock. We also viewed a short movie about the construction of the canal. Then it was on to Niagara on the Lake for a few hours of shopping, lunch, ice cream, a walk along Lake Erie, and enjoying their beautiful flowers. We ended our afternoon with a tour and samplings at a winery. After a rest break back at the hotel, Skylon Tower restaurant was a fun way to end our stay. The buffet and dessert was impressive but not as impressive as our view of the falls while we ate. This morning we crossed the border back into the United States!

Day three of Niagara Falls was a super busy day starting with an incredible breakfast with a beautiful Falls view! We began our tour with a step on guide who was very knowledgeable of the history of the falls and the area. We took a journey behind the falls and felt the force of the water. Next we went to the Clifton Hills area for lunch, a ride on the Skywheel, and some shopping. The big hit for the day was the Hornblower cruise right up next to the falls. Needless to say, we were soaked. After a little more history and a stop at the Floral Clock, our last activity for the day was a White Waterwalk experiencing the category 6 rapids from along the shore. Our day ended with a filling dinner of steak, salmon or stuffed chicken breast with all of the fixing, as well as dessert!

Day 2 of our Niagara Falls trip has come to an end with fireworks outside our Hilton Hotel room. We arrived at the falls this evening just in time to see a full rainbow. It was very bright and the end of the rainbow was right in front of us. We had never been so close to the end of a rainbow before! Our four course dinner at Table Rock Restaurant was fantastic and was followed by night viewing of the falls. Tomorrow we begin our full day of touring the Niagara Falls area including the Horn Blower cruise, Journey Behind the Falls, a ride on the Ferris Wheel with a view of the falls, the Butterfly Garden, and Floral Clock. We have a full day ahead!

Niagara Falls, trip #2 has begun. We had a neat stop at a Route 66 museum in Pontiac, IL today. We met some bikers from Australia and England that had come over to ride Route 66 from Chicago to LA. We took our group picture with one of their bikes. After a lot of construction slow downs today, we arrived at New Buffalo, MI for our first night. We had dinner down along Lake Michigan at Casey's or Stray Dog while watching the end of the Chiefs game. There was a big cheer from our group as the game ended! Notice all of our Chiefs attire!! Go Chiefs.
