This was the Ramona back in the 70’s and 80,s. My Grandparents owned in 1958 to early 80,s. I bought it about 13 years ago. It is 100 years old this year. I wish it could have remained the stucco exterior. It definitely had its style. This area was call Barbee villa’s.
This is the Ramona today. It had to have some updates over the years. Thank you to my Brothers and Son that worked on this roof and new porch this last winter, and nephew who worked on the siding. Grandpa would be proud of you as I am.
I hope more will be done this winter on the inside.
For everyone that comes as guest I hope you leave as friends and falls in love with the lakes as much as we have.

Many events take place on the Barbee chain of lakes. I would like to tell you about a pirate family party at the Kuhn lake sandbar. July 22, 2023 starting at 11:30. Dress as a pirate and dress up your boat! Show your Pirate spirit! This event is not to be confused with the adult party. This is a family event or if you are just young at heart. Trophies and prizes will be given out. You must register your boat at the Jot Em Down store. That way I know how many hot dogs we will need. The first 20 boats registered will receive a b***y bag! Hot dogs will be given out so pack drinks and chips. Let’s spend the day with the kids having a water fight. Remember not everyone wants to get wet, so if they are not flying a Pirate flag do not fire upon them. No water balloons for fish and wildlife safety. Sponsors for this event is Barbee Lake Rentals, Jot Em Down, and Ace Hardware in North Webster.
