Glacier Bay National Park did not disappoint! 🏔️🥹 We saw many glaciers, natural forests, and abundant wildlife on our cruise through the bay. Eventhough we did not dock here, it felt like we were exploring a port with the guided tour we got.

Princess had a naturalist/park ranger join us on board providing commentary through our tv so we could learn all about the glaciers, the early explorers of this region, and the rangers would even shout out whales or other wildlife they spotted. This was how we were able to see a pod of orcas in the bay. 🐳

✨Pro-tip:✨ Order room service to your room in this day so that you can spend the day out on the balcony with your binoculars. You will see so much and not miss a thing. 🍽️

Skagway was simply amazing! 😍 We enjoyed riding the White Pass Rail to Canada and back, getting some cuddles with some true Alaskan sled dog puppies, and even panning for gold. We only made $20 bucks gold panning, but its all about the experience right?! Lastly, we did some shopping and returned to the ship. 🚞🐕💛

This excursion was about 8 hours and had us being the last ones back on the ship.

✨Pro-tip✨ If doing a longer excursion in this port, book through the cruise line. This was the only reason we didn’t miss the boat. Our excursion was 29 minutes late fir the all-aboard time. If we hadn’t booked through Princess we would becwaving our luggage goodbye and not been able to meet up with the ship until the end of the cruise. 😳

We had a fantastic overcast day in Juneau viewing the Mendenhall Glacier and hiking to Nugget Falls. Some of the path on the Nugget Falls hike was flooded so you can see some of the hikers pulled up their pantlegs and crossed the knee length water….that was not us. 🤣

Did Juneau that overcast days are actually the best days to view glacier as it gives the glacier more of a blue tint as opposed the the standard white color? That’s why you will see a blueish tint in our photos.🧊🏔️

After our nature experience, we explored downtown Juneau and did some shopping. We were also able to see many bald eagles just hanging out on the lightpoles as they dry their wings when we were traveling to and from the glacier. What a sight! 🦅

✨Pro-tip:✨ Be sure to bring binoculars to view all of the abundant wildlife and a rainjacket. You never know when the sky will open up.

Exploring the charming town of Ketchikan, AK!

Features of this port include the stunning natural scenery and lively downtown area, including the salmon run on Creek Street and the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. Both of these sights make for an unforgettable journey! 🐟⛰️🪵

Birthdays remind us of how grateful we are to have spent another year on this earth…the icing on the literal cake this year is being able to spend it on a cruise ship headed for Alaska with my husband as we get ready to celebrate another year of marriage. From the bottom of my heart, thank you all for the happy birthday messages. Here’s to another year!

Included is a snapshot from one of the surprises Mr. Yoo organized along with our wonderful cabin steward, Noel. Not pictured is him asking the waiter to have the entire half of the main dining room to sing happy birthday. 🤣
