The newest Disney Cruise Line ship, Disney Treasure, will honor Disney’s dedicated cast members, employees, and Imagineers worldwide. Disney announced on Wednesday that Walt Disney Company’s 200,000 cast members, crew, and Imagineers would serve as the official godparents of the Disney Treasure. “At the core of everything we do at Disney are the dedicated Cast Members and employees who create the magic that brings joy to millions of people around the globe,” Bob Iger, CEO of The Walt Disney Company, said in the announcement.

For every towering wall of blue-tinged ice, every Viennetta-slab of pristine, swirly white, every pebble-dashed shard scraped from the base of a glacier floating on top of the frigid waters, there’s a far larger monolith, lurking beneath the surface. Greenland, the vast island with two-thirds of its landmass above the Arctic Circle, is one of the very best places in the world to see icebergs. Head to the Ilulissat Icefjord – a Unesco world heritage site on the country’s crenellated west coast – and you can’t move for the things. This is the home of Sermeq Kujalleq, one of the fastest-moving and most active glaciers in the world, which calves a hard-to-comprehend 35km cubed of ice into the sea each year.

The planned move of the SS United States to Florida from its South Philadelphia pier on Friday has been delayed, according to a release by Okaloosa County. Previously, officials had planned to tow out the historic ocean liner down the Delaware River at low tide around 7 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, but plans are now "delayed to ensure logistical details and procedures maintain ideal conditions for the move." The county is also monitoring a tropical system developing around the Gulf of Mexico that could impede the ship's safe delivery.

The historic ship is set to rest off the coast of Florida after Okaloosa County acquired it to convert it into an artificial reef.

After three cancelled cruises and plenty of worry for guests booked on the next sailing, Princess Cruises has confirmed that Regal Princess is now fully repaired and ready to welcome guests once again. This means the planned November 17, 2024 departure will set sail as planned for her 7-night Western Caribbean itinerary. Homeported from Galveston, Texas, Regal Princess will be visiting Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel on this first sailing back in service, weather permitting.

After three cancelled cruises, Regal Princess is now fully repaired and ready to set sail as scheduled on her next voyage from Galveston.

MSC Cruises is rolling out updates to its loyalty program, the MSC Voyagers Club, the company announced in a press release. According to the statement, the changes include a new loyalty tier and are aimed at making cruising with the company even more rewarding. Sitting on top of the program’s current four tiers, which range from Classic to Diamond, the new Blue Diamond level unlocks a series of extra exclusive benefits, MSC said.

When planning an international trip, having a valid passport right when you plan to travel may not suffice at the airport. In fact, many countries require passports to be valid months after your intended departure date. While specifics can vary by country, the small detail can, of course, become a very big problem. Many destinations require travelers to have at least three or six months left on their passport before entering the country, and an airline may not allow travelers to board if they have less than the required amount, according to the U.S. Department of State. Additionally, other destinations — like Canada, Mexico, and Ireland — require passports to be valid at the time of entry or for the duration of a stay.

MSC Cruises is helping travelers hit the high seas with its early Black Friday sale that has big savings along with plenty of onboard perks. The next sailing of Royal Caribbean's Explorer of the Seas has been pushed back three days to Nov. 17. During a transatlantic repositioning cruise that departed Barcelona on Nov. 2, the ship encountered an unexpected wind gust on Nov. 7 near Tenerife that caused it to list. In the days when my husband, daughter and I cruised as a family, we took checked-in luggage – but even then, it was only a single, modest suitcase, which we shared. It was always far less than the other passengers brought onboard, but we still found that we each only wore half the clothes we’d brought. It was for this reason that I eventually opted to (excuse the pun) pack that in, and started cruising (in fact, travelling entirely) with only hand luggage. There were protests from husband and daughter (“But cruising bag allowances are so generous! What about the formal nights?”), but not for long: they soon saw the benefits.
