So happy to have you in Washburn!! Our guests are in for quite a treat. YUM. 🩵

The Fat Radish has a new home..... in Washburn. We have purchased the former Sandies Log Cabin Restaurant on Main Street in Washburn. That’s what the original building housed. It has over the years been home to Hugos Pizza, The Washburn Table, Scare Crow Pizza. Now The Fat Radish will take over the space. The last day to dine in at the Cornucopia location is Friday August 25. The Radish will be closed for dinning in during the month of September to relocate. We hope to see all of you in October at the new location. Thank you for the past three years in Cornucopia.

Freeze up is here! Cold temperatures are moving in, and the Madeline Island Ferry Line will soon start utilizing the windsled for transportation between Bayfield and Madeline Island.

**NOTE: There is no projected day for an ice road at this time**

Washburn Hardware has been my "saving grace" during so many of my "I can do it by myself" renovation projects here at the cottage. Between painting, power washing, landscaping, furniture refinishing, rug shampooing, cabinet refinishing, even snow plowing..they were there to assist when I needed them. Each visit, the staff took time to listen to my latest project dilemma and came through with a solution and a product to get me back on track. Thank you Friendly Neighbors!

We've so enjoyed reading about our iguest's adventures in and around Bayfield WI and the Apostle Island's National Lake Shore. We love when our happy guests send us photos of their adventures while staying at the cottage!

Washburn and Driftwood Cottage is our "Home Away from Home". It's where we get to spend time with our family there, where we work on super cool projects together (like fancy wood sheds), and where we get to explore the trails and the waters.

We've met and come to call friends the best people (our neighbor Ron and housekeeper Kathy) It's where we leave a bit more heart each time we get to visit. Someday it will be our last home, when we retire. For now, we come as often as we can and share it with other families and friends. Thanks to our guests Rick and his family for sharing all the lovely photos!
