A January 2024 trip to Egypt and Jordan including a 4-day cruise on the Nile River. In Jordan, we went to Mount Nebo, where Moses died after looking at the promised land, and we went to Gerash, an extensive area of Greek and Roman ruins in northern Jordan.

Cruising is back! Lenora took and I took an 11-day cruise in January 2022 to The Bahamas, Aruba, Curacao, the Panama Canal, and Costa Rica on the Holland America Line Eurodam. The ship only had one third of the normal passenger load since many customers cancelled after the White House said not to take a cruise for fear of Covid-19. However, the only problem we had was that our port call in Cartagena, Colombia was scratched when the Colombians changed the rules and insisted on more Covid testing than we already had in order to board the cruise departing from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Our highlight was going through the locks of the Panama Canal starting just before dawn. The locals were all happy to see us given the hit their economies had taken when cruise ships stopped coming for nearly two years. On the cruise ship and in the ports of call passengers, staff, and local people all took precautions to avoid Covid infection. Local governments had also been giving vaccinations to their citizens in this health emergency.

This nearly all inclusive tour, led by tour director Louis McCall, will cost $3,499.00 double occupancy. An initial deposit of $500.00 is requested by November 30, 2018.
