The Georgetown University Student Investment Fund (GUSIF) was founded in 1997 by undergraduate students in the McDonough School of Business. GUSIF currently manages over $750,000 and is in the process of receiving new funds that will increase assets under management to over $1,000,000.The Fund currently manages money for the Endowment, Alumni Association and the SIPS Fund. GUSIF's purpose is two-f

old: (I) fulfill its fiduciary responsibilities by achieving above-market returns and (II) educate its membership through training and real-world experience. GUSIF develops top undergraduate talent; GUSIF alumni have gone on to work in a variety of fields from investment banking to consulting at firms such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and McKinsey & Company. However, at our core, we are a value-oriented investment fund that focuses on long term industry trends, corporate strategy and financial stability. We are both a top-down and bottom-up investment fund as we focus on strategy and financial metrics, respectively.
