The idea for Meals and Miles came one summer evening in July, while riding in the car to Washington D.C. Monique always wanted to start a blog, but never knew what to blog about. We were laughing at some of the adjectives our friends use to describe us and our love for traveling. So we thought, "Why not show others how to have fun with their spouse? Why not blog about our trips? Why not show people the things we do?" We thought of names for our site the whole weekend. And during one of our random laugh sessions, as Leon was talking crazy, meals and miles came up and it stuck!

We have traveled to a total of 31 of 50 states, 11 Island, and 5 countries!

On this site we will post our trips, photos, and reviews for various destinations, restaurants, and accommodations. Please leave vacation reviews and comments in the designated areas. Now owner, Monique Tillman is an official Independent Travel Agent with InteleTravel. She can book anything from living accommodations, airline tickets, vacation packages, car rental, tours, excursion, etc.

I finally made it to the infamous Buc-EEs on my latest road trip to Nashville. I stopped at two locations (Crossville, TN and Sevierville, TN) to get the full experience. One word - overwhelming. There is so much going on inside of BUC-EES. I tried multiple items from BBQ sandwich to jerky to coffee and popcorn. Some items were good, some were not. BUC EES has over 200+ gas pumps. The most inconvenient thing about BUC-EES is the traffic getting in and out of the parking lot. The customer service was great, bathrooms were clean and private. The Farisdes 📍MONTREAL, Quebec The Farsides is a combination of brunch, Thai, Hawaiian cuisine, and an 80s-90s theme offering a fun and nostalgic dining experience. You will enjoy dishes inspired by Thai and Hawaiian flavors, served in a retro atmosphere with decor and music from the 80s and 90s R&B and Hip Hop era. I love that there were Hawaiian performances during brunch. I love a good interactive brunch experience. When they were not performing the DJ was spinning all the oldies but goodies. @tropikal_restobar 📍 Montreal, Quebec Tropikal is easily at the top of my list for great food in Montreal. It's a Caribbean restaurant with West African and Latin influence. The customer service was good. Our waiter suggested certain food items and was honest about others. Which I truly appreciate. Our drinks were refreshing not overly sugary or straight liquor. The old school R&B was perfect for setting the tone of dinner. Food service was a little slow so we did have to wait awhile for our entrees but it was perfectly fine because they were super flavorful, slightly spicy, and filling. There is parking located on the street. The atmosphere shifts around 11pm as it turns into a lounge. I believe there is a speakeasy as well. Overall we enjoyed our dining experience. Cafe Leo 📍 Montreal, Quebec CAFE LEO is a cute quaint coffee shop in downtown Montreal. It offers an array of cafe drinks and pastries. There are different milk options available as well. This is a perfect place to work or meet as it has ample space and tables. There are few outlets available. Parking is located right out front for your convenience.
