🎉 From a college student with a passion for linguistics to a seasoned professional with nearly 40 years in the transportation industry, Leslie’s story is one of resilience, growth, and unwavering love for working with children. Starting as a school bus driver and rising to launch her own company, her journey is truly amazing. Thank you for sharing your inspiring story with us, Leslie! 🙌

I am the CEO/Owner of Starks Enterprises Transportation Services Inc., located in Fontana, CA. My journey began as a school bus driver, and over my 39-year career, I’ve expanded into running a company that includes motor coaches and school buses.

While pursuing my degree in English with an emphasis in linguistics—driven by my love for language—I developed a special passion for children, which has fueled my career for almost 40 years!

In 2006, I branched out as co-owner of Empire Transportation. Although the pandemic forced its closure in 2020, my determination led me to launch Starks Enterprises Transportation Services in September of that same year. The journey hasn’t been without challenges, but I believed I could do it—and I did! 💼✨

🌟 Welcome to Women in Buses! 🌟

We’re thrilled to introduce Angel Green, the Director of Leisure Sales with Visit OKC!

Angel brings a wealth of experience and passion to the Women in Buses community! With 21 years of experience with the Chickasaw Nation, she began her career in the marketing department of a Tribal Casino, eventually transitioning to the tribe’s tourism department. For 13 years, she worked to promote the region she proudly calls home. Now, in her current role, she oversees B2B and B2C sales for Groups and FIT in both domestic and international markets—sharing the unique stories and experiences Oklahoma City destinations offer. Her passion lies in showcasing the hidden gems of Oklahoma, proving to visitors that the state has so much to offer. She loves hearing how surprised and inspired travelers are when they explore the region and can’t wait to return for more.

In addition to being a member of Oklahoma Travel Industry Association Board, she’s also a proud advocate for foster care and supporting the many children in the system, inspired by her daughter, who fostered and adopted two children.
She’s excited to expand her network of peers, learn new ways to enhance visitor experiences, and continue to share her love for tourism and community building.

Reya Samuel is a Marketing Specialist at DATTCO, Inc., where she leverages her expertise in digital marketing, social media, brand partnerships, and strategic campaign planning to drive impactful results. 🌟

Though new to the bus and motorcoach industry, Reya brings a wealth of marketing experience to the table. She’s excited to highlight the incredible opportunities our industry provides—empowering customers to travel, explore, and connect communities. 🚌🌍

With a passion for people, problem-solving, and storytelling, Reya has already built an impressive marketing career over the past four years. 🚀 She’s gained experience through part-time roles, internships, and even running her own successful marketing agency since her senior year of college—showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and drive for excellence. 💼✨

Reya holds a double major BSc in Marketing and Information Systems from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. 🏫🎓 Her time spent commuting on chartered buses during college gave her a unique appreciation for the industry. 🚌

As a young professional, Reya is eager to collaborate, innovate, and make a lasting impact in the field. Her involvement with Women in Buses (WIB) reflects her desire for mentorship, connection, and the chance to contribute her fresh perspective to the industry.

Join us in welcoming Jessika Carrington to WIB! 👏🏼

Jessika is a dedicated team member at Short’s Travel Management with the STM Driven department, where she oversees ground transportation operations for collegiate athletic accounts, ensuring seamless chauffeured ground transportation for team events. Prior to joining STM Driven, Jessika held impactful roles as Director of Basketball Operations and Assistant to the Athletic Director, roles essential to the success of college athletics! With extensive experience overseeing key aspects of programs from managing budgets to coordinating team travel logistics, meals, events, and full travel itineraries, Jessika is a powerhouse in travel operations!

With over 15 years in athletics travel, primarily in women’s basketball, Jessika has been surrounded by inspiring women throughout her journey. 💪 Her passion for supporting and uplifting others led her to WIB, where she looks forward to connecting with like-minded women who support each other advancing in their careers and professionally. 💫

We are thrilled to have Jessika with us and can’t wait to see all she’ll bring to our community!
