We boarded our ship on July 3rd. It was Amawaterways ship called Amamora! What a beautiful river boat! We highly recommend this river cruise and this river boat!

De Zaanse Schans was so beautiful! This quaint Dutch village is made up of houses and windmills that they moved here to preserve, along this canal. hey windmills powered a sawmill that they used to help make the wood slats for shops, homes, shoes ships, windmills, etc. The shops included a wooden shoe shop, chocolate shop, bakery, cheese shop, and of course a gift shop or two. One windmill made paint pigment, the same way that they made the paint pigment for many artists in the olden times for Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and many others.

A tour of Anne Frank’s home was a must! It was very emotional for me! History comes to life as you stand in the place where you interact with reality! I am grateful that I could be there and experience what Anne and her family did as they hid from the N**i soldiers. Such a tragedy!

The food in Amsterdam was so delicious! We took a city walking tour and enjoyed learning about the canals, people, and history of the city!

After the museum, we had lunch at The Burger Room. We highly recommend this restaurant! Great food, service, and fun!
We only had to walk a short distance to go to our next tour of a Diamond Museum and factory! I tried on a diamond ring that cost $10,000! Needless to say, David didn't buy it for me! 🤪😂😜

Our first full day in Amsterdam included the Riks Museum. It was amazing to such so many artists work in one place! Such beauty and talents!

David and I are just waiting for it to be time to go to the Miami Port to set sail on Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s Oasis of the Seas!
