✴️After countless trips to the Mouse House since the ‘80s (yes, I remember when EPCOT opened!), I’ve perfected the art of packing for maximum magic and minimum meltdowns.🐭
Don’t be like me during my first visit when we didn’t have sunscreen and ended up looking like Sebastian the crab! These days I’ve got my Disney game DOWN, and I’m sharing all my veteran tips with you!
Park Bag Must-Haves: Sunscreen (trust me, Florida sun is no joke), raincoat (afternoon showers come out of NOWHERE), phone + charger (for all those character selfies!), sunglasses, chafing stick (your thighs will thank me later), water bottle, and snacks (because no one wants to deal with hangry kids...or spouses).
Carry-On Essentials: Load up that tablet with movies (just like we used to pack portable DVD players!), chargers, headphones (for those LONG flights - save your sanity!), water bottle, swimsuit (pool time is essential), 2 outfit changes (lifesaver if your luggage decides to vacation somewhere else!), and personal meds.
First Aid Kit: Band-aids, pain relievers (after a full day at Magic Kingdom, you’ll understand), antibacterial ointment, blister kit (those cute shoes aren’t so magical by day 3), motion sickness meds (Star Tours is NOT the same as it was in the ‘90s), and medications.
Don’t Forget: Magic Bands, Disney tees (matching family shirts are totally worth it), hats, mouse ears (yes, even us Gen X’ers rock them!), waterproof bags (Splash Mountain memories!), and eye masks/ear plugs for actual sleep.
Drop a comment if I missed anything from YOUR Disney packing list! And remember, as we said back in the day... have a MAGICAL trip! ✨
