Updated pedalboard. I removed my octave pedal because... 7-strings is more than enough. It is replaced with an always on strobe tuner to help with intonation, especially on low notes when I may not be able to hear it clearly. I also turned my volume/wah pedal into an expression pedal for the looper volume.

As I embark on a new chapter in my career, I am excited to announce that I will be rebranding myself under a moniker other than simply "Shawn Boucké" or "Shawn Boucké - Violin." For years, I have been considering this step, but faced challenges in finding a catchy and meaningful name that didn't come across as overly egotistical.

Over the past year, I have been working to reshape my career by cutting back on private lessons and focusing on events and weddings while working at a full time orchestra teacher. Last year I have lost count but have for sure surpassed over 500 weddings and events I have performed at. Though I may not always feel entirely equipped for the level of success I have achieved, I am grateful for the opportunity and enjoy every moment of it.

In the coming year, I will be dedicating most of my attention to working at my school and playing events, and I am excited to announce that I will be converting the weddings/events portion of my website into www.DetroitViolin.com to better reflect the years of playing in and around the Detroit area.

Please checkout the website. I will be making some new recordings to go up there throughout the year as well as making a new Youtube channel that is more focused on more professional sounding recordings.

Lesson set up

I forget to post on this page as I post a lot on my personal account, but I wanted to show my virtual set up. I have had multiple students say they now prefer virutal lessons because of the ability to see different angles and actually be more interactive! I have had many new students in the past year and offer a FREE first lesson for all new students.
