This hidden gem is located on 3rd street just 2 blocks away from the Ernest Inn. If you are in need of a sweet treat don't miss the opportunity to stop in. This is the best ice cream shop in town conveniently located in the same building as one of the best grocery stores in town as well.

I cannot believe we have an open night The Ernest Inn. Book now before 5pm and sit on the back porch for this awesome show tonight with Cherry Pie Rocks the Bentzin Family Town Square Sounds of Summer Concert Series ! They've been working hard on setting up sound equipment all day at the Bentzin Family Town Square located on Main Street right in the heart of downtown and I know it's going to be one heck of a great time. Food trucks (C.J's BBQ & Soul Food Catering), music, and relaxation. Date night anyone?
P.s. We also put in a brand new bed!

Greetings everyone! The Ernest Inn is happy to announce our participation in the first ever Downtown Watertown "Open House". This event will take place on January 28th, 2023 from 10 A.M. until 2 P.M.

The Ernest Inn will be participating in this event from 12 P.M. until 2 P.M. Please come and visit with us, take a look around, and enjoy some coffee/refreshments. We have had a few hundred guests grace our door through all stages of our space with all 5 star reviews. Please come and see if this is a place worth staying for yourself or your friends and family.

We just love it when this happens. We're so grateful for each and every single person who has come to stay here.

Bought star trek puzzle from antique store.
Bought records and finalized Eric's Dire Straits vinyl collection.
Shopped for dinner ingredients.
Watched Beetlejuice (no ghosts here).
Cooked a delicious stir fry.
Enjoyed some craft beer at the (say hi to Alex from us).
Watched and made fun of the Twilight movie.

We are extremely grateful for each and every single person who has come to stay at The Ernest Inn. Without all of you there would be none of this. Every so often I feel the need to share a page out of the guestbook. This one was our most recent. It reads:

"The Ernest Inn was booked solely for aesthetics but we were even more delighted to find Watertown so hospitable and charming. Especially enjoyed the generous whiskey pours at Lyons Irish Pub and the majestic views from Lapham's Tower. We came for a little "cheese moon" (Not a honeymoon) to decompress after our wedding this Sunday and I think it very likely we'll return for anniversaries and hopefully babymoons!"

These guests came here from Miami Florida and Chicago Illinois.

Its been a while since I've done a post for The Ernest Inn. I just wanted to share with you all that I finally stole one of my favorite pictures of my dad and wrote a little something explaining where "The Ernest Inn" got it's name. I also wanted to show you all what happened over the summer to the plant population up there. Several of those plants were given as gifts in honor of my father when he passed away. As we approach the two year anniversary of my father's death I would like to announce that his memorial service is set to take place at Riverside Park in Watertown Wisconsin at 11am on October 1st. Please share these details with anyone who knew, admired, looked up to, or loved Ernie Niemann. We would love to see you there.
