Our AdventureWomen embarked on an 11 day journey, where they witnessed untouched nature by Zodiac and foot getting close to penguins, whales, and other wildlife, traversed the notorious Drake Passage, all while making life long connections with fellow travelers!

With 40+ years of experience in all-women travel, enjoy an AdventureWomen sharing memorable images from our signature Safari trips over the years!

AdventureWomen founder Susan Eckert, following her trip to Botswana in 2015, shared that she has "learned on my dozens of trips to Africa that being on the continent always helps me gain a new perspective. I reclaim that feeling of wonder when I look out over vast herds of animals and all-encompassing, huge blue skies."

Another important aspect on our trips includes connecting with local women. Owner Judi Wineland shared after her Tanzanian Safari adventure the impact of meeting with Maasai women, stating, "We lived almost 10,000 miles apart, we were from extremely different cultures, we spoke no similar language, but on that day, we were just women – women who cared about our children, about our villages, and about each other. "

Did you know that AdventureWomen's last trip in 2024 wrapped up this week? ✈🛅😎

We welcome home our guests who took on Machu Picchu Trek on the Salkantay trek! Over ten days, you journeyed through Peru and witnessed firsthand the Incan ruins.

For four to nine hours a day supported by your fellow AdventureWomen, you hiked through the Andes. Flying into Cusco, acclimatization kicked off with visits to the Pisac Market and Peruvian Horse Show. 🐎🇵🇪

Over the next few days, you experienced Lake Humantay before summiting Salkantay Pass at 15,213 feet, celebrated with a traditional Pachamanca meal and a long whirlpool bath soak to heal your muscles. Then, reach Machu Picchu citadel! 🍖♨️

Engage with locals as you visit a coffee plantation in Santa Teresa River Valley and meet with female master weavers once back in Cusco. ☕🧶

Have you seen Machu Picchu? What was your favorite moment of this trip? On another journey to Peru, our ambassador shared, "We were all tired, sore, dirty, and feeling like we were going to climb forever, yet as I climbed those final feet, I had an overwhelming sense of pride that literally brought tears to my eyes." What a memorable time! 🏔🏆😜
