Our group's last event was a tour of the Kilbeggan Whiskey Distillery . We learned about both traditional and modern whiskey-making techniques. Then the tour wrapped up perfectly with a tasting!
Kilbeggan Distillery has been producing whiskey since 1757 and holds Ireland's first distilling license.

Then we headed to our last hotel, the beautiful Cabra Castle in Kingscourt. We explored the grounds, saw a wedding and enjoyed a farewell dinner with our new friends!

Our group had the pleasure of watching the Caherconnell Sheepdog Demonstration—these dogs are amazing! And we had a bonus: some adorable lambs were born just before we arrived!
We also made a quick stop at Poulnabrone Dolmen, an incredible 5,000-year-old portal tomb in the Burren and enjoyed a brisk walk through the rugged limestone landscape. Such a fascinating glimpse into Ireland’s ancient past!
Then on to Galway for a bit of lunch & retail therapy!

Our little group made their way to the spectacular Cliffs of Moher yesterday.
The Cliffs sit astride the striking landscape of the Burren on one side and the Wild Atlantic Ocean on the other. Rising out of the Atlantic waters to a height of over 700ft at O’Brien’s Tower and running along the coast of Clare for almost 8 miles, the Cliffs of Moher were formed over 320 million years ago, and today form part of the Burren and Cliffs of Moher UNESCO Global Geopark.

What an exciting and adventurous day for our little Ireland group - they left Waterford bright & early and headed to Blarney Castle where some braved the 128 narrow spiral steps ( ! ) to the top to kiss the Blarney Stone and explore the gardens.
Then on to Killarney for a horse & buggy ride through Killarney National Park and a cruise around Loch Leanne.
Quite the day!!

Yesterday our group left Dublin and headed out to Kilkenny for a quick visit & walk around on their own. Then on to Waterford for a guided city tour & an overnight at the historic Grandville Hotel.
Did you know Kilkenny is the medieval capital of the world & Waterford is Ireland's oldest city?
