Back by popular demand, Effigy Mounds National Monument will be hosting three Film Festival dates this winter, showing a series of National Park films:

Come explore Effigy Mounds National Monument and watch the following films this coming Saturday, January 25, 2025, 1:00-3:00pm
• Trail of Tears: Trail of Tears National Historic Trail
• Ná Qc Tím̉íne Wisí X (Of One Heart): Nez Perce National Historical Park
• A Prophecy Fulfilled: The Cayuse & the Whitmans at Waiilatpu
• Knife River Indian Villages
• Those Are My Ancestors: Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park.

The film festival will be held inside the auditorium of the Effigy Mounds National Monument Visitor Center. Visitors will have the opportunity to watch one or all the films that will be shown. There will also be light refreshments available and an intermission halfway through the event.

A big thank you to the City of Lansing for providing the water and to our amazing volunteers who worked hard to pull this together!

The rink is now ready for everyone to enjoy some outdoor winter fun. 🏒✨ Remember, you’ll need to bring your own ice skates to join in the fun!

If you notice water on top of the ice, please stay off the rink to help keep it in great condition for everyone.
