Did you know most Disney Deluxe Resorts have recreation rooms offering all sorts of activities during your stay?

We decided to stop in to see what they had and then chose to make some coasters. $5 each. Y'all know Disney souvenirs ain't cheap so this was a welcome surprise!

Still soaking in all the magic that happened aboard the Halcyon on our Galactic Starcruiser experience.

This was not just a hotel - it was as close to living in a Star Wars movie as I could ever imagine. We were able to choose our paths, engage in missions, talk to cast members (the crew) and open up new missions, experiences, etc... if you ever read one of those choose your own adventure books, it was like that but in person.

Saying goodbye and boarding the transport back to Earth was very sombering. Magic happened up there in those stars. ✨️

I know the Force will live on even when the Halcyon does not. For I am one with the force and the force is with me. Together. AS ONE.

Goodnight from a galaxy far, far away.

We checked in at 11, boarded at 1 and have so far:

- Toured the ship
- Bridge Operations Training
- Lightsaber Training
- Had a fabulous dinner with Gaya
- Ended up getting boarded by the First Order
- Secretly smuggled a wookie (Chewie) on board
- Play a game of sabaac
- Met Ouannii

The best part? Tomorrow is our excursion to Batuu and many, many more surprises to come. I really hate that this technological masterwork is ending soon...but we won't talk about that until Wednesday...maybe not even then.

And this crew - everyone has been SO nice, asked our backstories and somehow managed to remember everyone's name. I'm blown away more than the Dearh Star!

Recap from today's D23 Parks Panel:

- I loved the presence of the Muppets throughout the panel

- Ahsoka will be appearing in Star Tours at Disneyland, Disney World and Disneyland Paris beginning next Spring

- Asha, from the new movie Wish, will be meeting guests at Disneyland, Disney World and Disneyland Paris soon.

- We saw a sneak peek, including nighttime footage, from the World of Frozen opening at Hong Kong Disneyland. *there was bandter (from the band) and it was asked if we could our own version of that and Josh said yes

- The Hatbox Ghost will be materializing in late November at the Magic Kingdom inside the Haunted Mansion. Don't worry, there will still only be 999 ghosts as it was described they are Happy Haunts and Mr Hatbox is not.

- There is a new E-Ticket attraction coming to California Adventure's Avenger Campus. Your ship will jump through portals to different locations from all over the Marvel cinematic universe. I hope they randomize them and create the need for multiple rides - a day. ;)

- Country Bear Jamboree is getting an update! New songs direct from Nashville, some a spin on classic Disney favorites like Bear Necessities. Opening in 2024 🐻 🎻 🎸

- There's a new Pirates of the Caribbean themed tavern coming to the Magic Kingdom! 🍻 And the old barker parrott that used to sit outside of the ride will return to heckle us once more!

- We got a preview at Shanghai's upcoming Zootopia land and it sure does look WILD!

- There were several EPCOT updates: World Celebration will open in December, Journey of Water will open Oct 16th WITH a Moana Meet & Greet, Test Track is getting an update, Luminous The Symphony of Us will debut on Dec 5th! I'm pretty sure I saw some drones in the previews.

- We got a preview of the new Frozen land coming to Disneyland Paris

- DCL announced the newest ship name is the Adventure and that it will sail the seas from Singapore to Southeast Asia, the name Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point was introduced as DCL's newest island location.

- Tokyo Disney shared a preview of their Fantasy Springs addition that will have lands from Frozen, Peter Pan and Tangled! It will open in 2024.

- The Magic Kingdom expansion was teased to be on the same scale as Galaxy's Edge and Pandora.

- "it's tough to be a bug" at Animal Kingdom will be rethemed to Zootopia and feature a Clawhausen animatronic

- Speaking of Animal Kingdom, we were told Encanto and Indiana Jones are evicting Dinoland USA and moving in!

- Figment will begin meeting guests at EPCOT starting Sept 10th inside the Imagination Pavillion

- Soarin Over California will return to EPCOT for a limited run
