Wayland Travel was founded in 1966 and serves corporate and individual clients across the country and around the world. Our professional staff has an average 21 years experience in the travel industry. Many of us are area-specialists with destination-specific certifications. Between us, we have visited more than 120 countries and sailed most major cruise lines. We have survived and thrived in a changing world by emphasizing great service and focusing on exotic destinations and complex itineraries.
In 2019, Wayland Travel opened a new chapter - joining the FROSCH Travel Network. FROSCH is a privately-owned travel management company co-headquartered in New York City and Houston, with more than 40 offices and 2000 employees worldwide.Known for exceptional service in global travel management and luxury vacation planning, FROSCH has been ranked as one of the top fifteen travel management companies in the world. LEISURE TRAVEL - Our leisure department can handle any request from a quick weekend getaway to a luxurious cruise or customized independent foreign tour. We offer an extraordinary level of personal attention including “concierge” services to make your journey perfect: Tea time at the Ritz or tee times at Sandy Lane, fine dining in Paris or a cooking class in Tuscany, shows in Las Vegas or spa services at Canyon Ranch. Whether looking for theatre tickets, shark dives, bungee jumping, or a wedding in Paradise… we do it all! We also “Work Magic With Miles” - integrating mileage and “points” with dollars to maximize the value of our clients’ frequent flyer miles.
CORPORATE TRAVEL - Small and mid-sized corporate clients rely on our ability to balance personal attention and VIP treatment with keeping a close eye on their travel budgets. We can assist with writing and implementing corporate travel policies and negotiating with suppliers. We apply retail travel techniques (such as the strategic use of consolidator fares and tour packages) to reduce costs. Complex international itineraries and pricing are our specialty. We are happy to work with our business travelers to use frequent flier miles and upgrades to improve the quality of their travel experience. This division also handles small meetings and incentive trips around the world. We have a state of the art reservation system and a 24-hour emergency hotline. We’ll make sure you’re never cast-away or out of touch!
MISSION & PHILANTHROPIC TRAVEL - We have built a loyal following of individuals and groups engaged in mission and humanitarian projects around the world. We understand the unique needs of team leaders and non-profit organizations and enjoy working with them for the greater good. We have handled many domestic and international teams for Habitat for Humanity (including two Jimmy Carter Work Projects), Back2Back Ministries’ Latin American orphanage programs, RISE International’s school building teams to Angola, Katrina relief trips to the Gulf Coast and multiple mission groups to central and southern Africa.
