For years the farmhouse has had a gray phase screech owl acting as the gatekeeper, keeping an eye on the comings and goings of the driveway by the barn. We hadn’t seen him this year yet and today, Jean spied a red phase owl sitting on the perch. Perhaps a changing of the guard, or maybe there’s a pair living in there this year
