An update from Farmside Village as we approach the 3-week point following Hurricane Helene…

We are online and operational. Our cabins are available. Our power is back on and we have water and Wi-Fi.

For those of you who have stayed with us in the past, you may recall that our cabins are on a hilltop, but not on an exposed mountain top ridge. This location, and our general elevation above the rivers, allowed us to avoid flooding as well as extreme wind. We are very fortunate that there was no damage from trees. The roads around us are clear and accessible.

Many of our past guests have been so kind to check on us and we appreciate it very much.

It’s going to be quite a while before Asheville, Marshall and surrounding areas are truly recovered. If you’re coming into town to help with recovery efforts or to see family and friends we’re here and have openings on the calendar.

Thanks in advance, on behalf of our community, for any and all support no matter how large or small, as the mountain communities of Western North Carolina get back on our feet.

We’re celebrating a major milestone as we’re approaching our 6 year anniversary at Farmside Village: 1000 reviews and an overall rating that we’re so proud of.

Seeing this number reflect that we’ve consistently provided a high quality experience for so many people, families and groups is both humbling and energizing.

We’re grateful for the support team around us and in the local community that makes this possible! We’re not a big, corporate hotel chain… we’re just a small, family, veteran & woman-run business striving to provide a high quality & relaxing alternative to traditional lodging by sharing a quiet corner of our little farm.
