Good news for the trails! Here’s the latest ski update!
“Current conditions could not be any better. We received about 6” of new snow yesterday which brings our base total to about 36”. It is good, cold snow which makes for great classic and skate skiing.
The trails are being groomed daily, with some of our best skiing of the season happening now! Our overnight low temps have been around 10 degrees at the lodge with highs in the low 20’s. Lot’s of sunshine and blue skies lately. The extended forecast calls for some snow showers and similar temperatures for at least the next 7 days.”

Plain Valley Ski Trails is offering Weekend Kids Clinics! ❄
These clinics are 2 hours of FUN on skis Saturday's (2-4pm)

The primary goal is to have fun cross country skiing. Kids learn best at this age through play, games, and skill development. This clinic is appropriate for kids who are first time skiers and for kids who have been skiing and need FUN sprinkled into their time on cross country skis. This will be a classic ski experience, unless the group specifically requests skate skiing.

These clinics are 2 hours of FUN on skis Saturday's (2-4pm), starting January 18th!

About the clinic:
This clinic is designed especially for kids between the ages of 6-12 yrs old. It is modeled after our midweek Devo Program (first layer ski clinic for elementary age kids). The primary goal is to have fun cross country skiing. Kids learn best at this age through play, games, and skill development. This clinic is appropriate for kids who are first time skiers and for kids who have been skiing and need FUN sprinkled into their time on cross country skis. This will be a classic ski experience, unless the group specifically requests skate skiing.
This Clinic is taught by Jackson Douglas, one of our Plain Valley Ski Team skiers. He is a PSIA (Professional Ski Instructor Association) Level 1 instructor with 3 years experience working with our Devo Team and teaching private lessons.

Be prepared for winter driving conditions this weekend especially if you are traveling in higher elevations! ❄️

Snow will impact the Friday morning commute across the region, and continue through Saturday for some areas. For the Cascades and Central Panhandle Mountains, moderate to heavy snowfall is possible, impacting the Snoqualmie, Stevens, and Lookout Passes. Additionally, light to moderate snow totals are possible on valley floors. The timing of the snow Friday morning could lead to slick roads and difficult travel, so drive safely and be careful tomorrow morning.
