Organized in 1947, The Wendell Chamber of Commerce serves as an advocate for its members, providing common ground where business leaders work together toward building a stronger community. Wendell Chamber of Commerce provides avenues for economic development, expansion through referrals, advertising and networking opportunities, classes and workshops addressing topics of interest for our business

partners. Additionally, offering entertainment outside of the workplace through community concerts, festivals and the promotion of community events. The Wendell Chamber offers many benefits to its members and the community, from economic development to networking, educational and community events all supporting and aiding in the growth of its members and the community as a whole. It seems a little early, but it's chili weather! We're taking sign ups of our annual Chili Cook Off on February 1st. We've started our annual "FILL THE GRILL" food drive. We hope when you come to our store you will drop off canned food or non-perishable items to help us "fill the grill". This is a great opportunity to help others in need in our community during the holiday season!

Today was the Inaugural Sporting Clays Tournament of the Wendell Chamber of Commerce. What a great time at Rose Hill Sporting Clays, who were fantastic hosts. Thank you as well to our presenting sponsor, Perry's Gun Shop, whose team did well! Our Gold Sponsor Germano Architecture + Interiors and Silver Sponsor TJ’s Trailers enabled us to put on a great event for all of our shooters! Finally, thank you to City Barbeque Wendell Falls for a great lunch! Everyone is already looking forward to our 2d Annual event!

Join the Wendell Chamber of Commerce in recognizing our Veterans through the Hops 4 Heroes event this Saturday, November 9th, in Wendell Falls' Treelight Square from 3 to 7 pm. The square will be filled with vendors and music by Chris Lewis. At 3:30 there will be a short program recognizing local veterans and their contributions. In addition, Treelight Square restaurants will be donating a portion of their proceeds to The Memorial Valor Foundation - and their support to the Gold Star families of fallen Special Operators.

We can't say thank you enough to the businesses and residents in Wendell who have come together in the last 48 hours to fill this truck with supplies desparately needed by our neighbors in the mountains of North Carolina. It has been heartening to see individuals, families and businesses stop by with their contributions - every bit helps! Tarantino Trucking is on the road and delivering everything today. Once they return, we'll be filling the truck again, so watch for details. In the meantime, many businesses and churches in town are also gathering donations.
