I should like to see any power of the world destroy this race, this small tribe of unimportant people, whose wars have all been fought and lost, whose structures have crumbled, literature is unread, music is unheard, and prayers are no more answered. Go ahead, destroy Armenia. See if you can do it. Send them into the desert without bread or water. Burn their homes and churches. Then see if they will not laugh, sing and pray again. For when two of them meet anywhere in the world, see if they will not create a new Armenia. ----------------------------------------------------------- These were the words of our famious writer William Saroyan. Born in Fresno, California, Saroyan decided to follow the roots of his parents from Bitlis, a city near lake Van in today’s Eastern Turkey. In 1964 he made this unforgettable journey to Bitlis also visiting important towns and cities of historical Armenia. He returned with unforgettable memories. Today we are proud to be able to follow the footsteps of Saroyan. Armenian Roots is dedicated to bring all second, third, fourth generation Armenians born in diaspora back to their roots. Back to where their parents, grandparents were born, where and how they leaved. Let us help you to create lifetime memories, just like William Saroyan.
