Next stop on my Epic Universe tour: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic! ⚡✨

Just through the portal, it feels like you’ve stepped right into the Fantastic Beasts films set in 1920s Paris.

I started my morning with a Butterbeer Crepe and an adult Gigglewater at Café L’air De La Sirène™ (when in Paris, right?). Both were delicious and such a fun way to kick off the day. You can also try other French-inspired dishes here. Another spot to check out is Le Goblet Noir, or if you’re looking for drinks, The Bar Moonshine. And if you have a sweet tooth, stop by K. Rammelle’s for Chocolate Frogs and other themed treats.

Naturally, I had to buy a wand at Cosme Acajor Baguettes Magique and spend some time casting spells around the land, one of those little experiences that makes you feel like a wizard. I love being the one to make the magic come to life! Automatic smile lol

The indoor live stage show, Le Cirque Arcanus, is inspired by the magical traveling circus, features performers, creatures, and illusions that recreate a 1920s wizard circus. I regret not watching this during this visit!

Ok, here was my favorite part…

I took the Metro-floo system over to the 1990s British Ministry. While I didn’t ride the main attraction since it wasn’t open, I did get to walk through the queue of Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, and wow. I was blown away by how detailed it was. Just walking the line was worth it. It truly felt like stepping into the movie.

I’m a huge Harry Potter fan, a proud Ravenclaw, and this was one of those moments that stopped me in my tracks. I was genuinely amazed by how immersive this area was.

Next stop on the Epic Universe tour: Isle of Berk! 🐉✨

Whether or not you’re a How to Train Your Dragon fan, it won’t matter once you step into this world.

Hiccup’s Wing Gliders was actually our first ride of the day, so I’ll always remember it as my very first Epic Universe ride! It was such a fun and great way to start the morning. You’ll need to store your bag in a locker that uses facial recognition. Quick personal note on the lockers: a lot of people seem to love this system and find it fast and seamless. If it works on the first try, it definitely is! But for me and the person I was with, we were not getting recognized easily. Maybe it was just us, because it seemed like everyone around us had it down, lol.

I didn’t ride the other attractions this time, but they’re on my list for next visit. These include Fyre Drill (you will get wet!) and Dragon Racers Rally. The Viking Training Camp is also here, giving younger Vikings plenty of places to climb, slide, and explore in an interactive adventure play area.

How I didn’t eat any food here still blows my mind because there were quite a few things on my list, especially the classic Mac and Cheese Cone from Hooligan’s Grog & Gruel. This is a must do on my next trip! But there are only so many snacks a person can eat in a day. I’m also hoping to try something from Mead Hall or Spit Fyre Grill, and of course, something sweet from Dragon’s Keep Treats. There are so many Viking inspired bites and treats perfect for refueling between adventures.

Later in the evening, I came back to Berk to walk around, soak it all in, and watch The Untrainable Dragon show, which was fantastic and so well done. I even spotted Hiccup himself meeting guests! I didn’t personally wait in line to meet him, but the option was there.

At night, the land is beautiful as it glows with torchlight and dragon sounds, so magical.

Next stop on the Epic Universe tour: Celestial Park!

This is where your Epic Universe adventure begins, a dreamy, open space that feels like a cosmic garden. It’s filled with winding paths, glowing fountains, and peaceful areas that feel almost like a retreat between adventures. At the end of Celestial Park is Helios Grand Hotel, which offers stunning views of the park and even has its own private entrance into the park for guests staying there.

Celestial Park is a land of its own, with rides, snacks, quick- and full-service dining, shopping, and unique experiences. Compared to the very immersive theming of the other lands, this one feels lighter and more calming. It’s also where you’ll find the portals to the other four worlds.

There are a few main attractions here:
✨Stardust Racers – A dual-launch roller coaster that twists through the sky.
✨ Constellation Carousel – A beautifully designed carousel featuring celestial creatures that glide and swirl with elegance
⛲️Astronomica – An interactive water play area

I didn’t hop on either ride this time nor did I see the interactive water show, but I did stop for lunch at The Oak & Star Tavern, and it was delicious. I ordered the Grilled Peach Arugula Salad with Pulled Citrus Herb Chicken, it included everything in the name plus Boursin®, candied pecans, and a white balsamic dressing. So fresh, light, and flavorful! I also tried a side of the mango bread that many people recommended… thank you, because yes, it was amazing.

Beyond the rides and food, Celestial Park is filled with quiet magic, interactive water features, fun photo ops, beautifully detailed gardens, and cozy spaces to pause and take it all in. At night, the entire land transforms with glowing lights, making it feel like the stars have come down to walk beside you.

Whether you’re staying at Helios, beginning your day of exploration, or pausing for a peaceful moment, Celestial Park is a land you’ll want to soak in.

Who’s excited!??

Next up on my Epic Universe journey to share with you… Dark Universe.

It might not be the first land that comes to mind when you think of bright and vibrant, but trust me, it’s one you won’t want to skip. The storytelling and theming are amazing, especially if you’re into classic monsters, Halloween, or gothic vibes. The land itself is an experience with winding village paths, flickering lanterns, eerie music and sound effects… it’s like walking into a classic monster movie set.

Dark Universe has two rides, and while I didn’t get to ride Curse of the Werewolf (it was down during my visit), I’ve heard it’s a short but fun coaster that takes you through a dark forest as you try to escape a pack of werewolves. Still very much on my list for next time!

I did get to ride Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, and wow… this one blew me away! It’s a dark ride full of thrills, amazing effects, and of course, monsters. You’ll walk into Frankenstein’s lab and come face to face with some of Universal’s most iconic creatures. The ride system is similar to Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey—your ride vehicle glides along a track while tilting, lifting, and rotating through physical sets, screens, and special effects. It’s a wild, immersive ride from start to finish.

Dining:
Even though I didn’t grab a bite in this world, I did pop into Das Stakehaus, a dramatic vampire themed quick service restaurant. It’s dark, but not scary, so take the kids!

There’s also The Burning Blade Tavern, a more casual quick service location where the local village monster hunters hangout. I hear it’s great for the drinks and snacks!

Also in Dark Universe tare monster meet-and-greets, and some awesome merch. Don’t want to look like a regular human in the crowd, heck out Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience, where guests ages 5+ can be transformed into a vampire, werewolf, or other eerie creation.
