Pro-Tip
Did you know that you can get a free cup of water at any quick service location in the Disney Parks?

All you need to do is walk to the counter and ask for a cup of water! I then pour the water into our refillable water bottles so we have ice cold water while we walk around the park.

This is great on those really hot Florida days when you need to stay hydrated!

We always carry the flavor concentrate bottles or single serve powder packs as well!

Walt Disney World's Pop Century Resort

Looking for a value resort, my favorite to recommend is Pop Century. This resort is located across a lake from Art of Animation and they share a Skyliner Station. I will admit that I was doubtful about the Skyliner but as soon as it opened, it became my favorite mode of transportation on property.

Pro Tip: How to "Beat the Heat!"

It's no secret that Orlando is HOT. And in the summertime? Surface of the sun. So what should you do if that's when your Disney vacation is?

1. WATER: Drink water! So.much.water. Quick service dining locations give out free cups of ice water whenever you need it. Use these to fill up your water bottle instead of purchasing water. and avoid drinking too much caffeine.

2. Take a midday break: Go back to your hotel during the hottest part of the day and use that awesome pool for a swim break.

2. Cooling towels and neck fans: Cooling towels that get nice and cold when wet are a welcome relief on the back of your neck!
Purchase battery or USB powered fans for less than $20 on Amazon and turn them on when you are waiting in line.

4. Know where the A/C is! As your travel advisor, I will give you a list of all the best attractions and other places to get inside for an A/C break!

5. Be mindful of your stroller! It can get pretty warm in there, so check on your littles often if they've been in the stroller for a while. Also, cover your stroller with a light blanket or jacket (NOT a plastic rain cover) when it's sitting in stroller parking. Super-hot stroller seats are no fun for anyone!

6. Pace yourself! Nobody can do everything at Disney in one trip! Don't attempt to do so, especially in the heat!

Universal Studios Orlando - Loews Sapphire Falls Resort

Currently, Sapphire Falls Resort is the only Prime Tier Resort. Guests staying here have access to the water taxi and as a resort guest are eligible to gain early park admission. During early park admission, only guests staying on Universal property are able to enter the parks.

Added Pro Tip: Guests staying at any Universal Orlando Resort are able to share hotel amenities. Simply go to the front desk of any resort and ask for a day pass. This will provide your family access to pools, game rooms, exercise facilities and dining for the day!

❗️PRO TIP ❗️

When you are vacationing at Disney or Universal, bring a power pack to charge your phone! You will use it to check the map, wait times, show times, etc. and take pictures, and at Disney you will use it to make Genie plus reservations. The power gets eaten away fast! We wouldn't have made it the whole day without recharging.

❗️Pro Tip❗️

Visiting a park on your arrival day is DOABLE! I tend to recommend Epcot as a good option for those guests who arrive early enough. Epcot opens later than the other parks and STAYS open later! So even if you don’t get there until after lunch, you can still have a solid 8+ hours of fun….and even some fireworks!!!

If you are staying on Disney property and you arrive before your room is ready, the resorts will hold your bags for you until you return that evening!

Universal Orlando Resort has so many great places to stay and each comes with it's own set of perks!

Check out Loews Royal Pacific Resort! Guests staying here can utilize boat transportation to the parks. The boat from Royal Pacific Resort, lets you off right before the bridge into Islands of Adventure and features it's own security check point so that you bypass the main security lines. Guests also get Universal's Express Pass for free with their ticket purchase. These two perks alone are worth their weight in gold but it doesn't end there.
